This would be a great addition to any vintage handbag collection. It's really unusual, I haven't seen one like it. I'm guessing it could be 40's or 50's but handbag experts may have a better idea.
This bag is made from black leather and a goldtone metal. The lining looks like a taffeta with an luminescent sheen in a browny/green colour. These's a mirror on the inside lid and a little pouch for a comb and lipstick I expect. You can just make out what looks like "A Kramer Bag" on the inside in white lettering. The lid of the bag has two metal hinges and a metal clasp that clicks into place.
It is all working fine. This is a vintage bag and it's been used, There is some scratching and wear on the metal edging, but the bag is solid and the interior is in remarkably good condition. There is a little bit of discolouration on the mirror. There's one small mark on the leather lid but I think the leather would come up with a buff and the metal could be polished with a metal polish. I leave that to the experts though because there's a fine line between enhancing and destroying patina on vintage pieces.
This bag measures 19.5 across and 11.5 deep and 7.5 high. The leather handle measures 44cm in length.
